1. Notebooks are lighter in the long run than lots of folders? There are a lot less chaos than folders because there isn't an excessive amount of filing and you can leave the modules you aren't doing at home.
2. Keep everything as electronic as possible if not to save on the astronomical printing cost but to keep you organised. It is easier to organise folders on your computer than with paper.
3. Planners are your life savers. They allow you to plan when to plan, research, write and edit your assignments and online learning and lecture preparation. I didn't realise how important they are until my third year. My planner never leaves my side now.
4. Clarify don't guess. It is better to try and clarify something with your lecturer if you are in a muddle than guess, because that guess could cost you hours of work.
5. Learn the art of re drafting assignments - because it will benefit you in the long run.
